The beginning...

Just to explain a fraction: Bod is a pun.
Bod is the short term used for the Bodleian Library - it is also the transliterated Tibetan word for Tibet, pronounced 'beu' (as in the French pronunciation of 'eu').
Thus this is a blog written by the subject consultant for the Tibetan Collection at the Indian Institute Library, part of the Bodleian Library in Oxford:
Bod.

  1. In the U.S. of A., when a young man spots a fine looking young woman he is likely to say to his friend something cool like, "Hey, check out that bod!" and, well, they don't mean books, although it could be a reference to the stacks (or even the 'closed stacks').
